Sarah's mom, dad and little bro "B" just left after a 9-day visit to our new playground... they had a blast! Brandon slew the fish whenever he could... I have never seen a better use of a fishing licence in my life! They put over 900 miles on my car in the courseof their stay and went on the Whittier 26 Glacier cruise, went out to Kenai to hang out with Cousin Steve, went to Homer on my mom's 50th birthday on Aug. 5th, went to Seward and Exit Glacier, and then a whole day with me up to Eklutna Lake, Hatcher Pass, the Mat-Su valley, Independance Mine and all the way out to Willow. We saw bears and Moose galore! Us kids suprised our parents with their 50th birthday present- a 4-hour flightseeing trip on a float-plane to fly to the summit of Mt. McKinley and Denali National Park. It certainly was THE hilight of their trip for sure! It was GREAT to see my family and hang out... made me feel a bit less homesick for the warmth of Michigan. I return to Michigan again in October for a conference in Chicago for my Postpartum Depression grant, so I will see folks then too! See, how much fun could YOU have in Alaska with us???
