We are Boat People!

Here-ye! For once, Aaron is asking me to post something on the blog FOR HIM! We bought a boat people, yes, a boat. This summer is going to be the first of many trips up the long rivers in Alaska, fishing on the Kenai Lake for trout, hunting with friends and seeing the REAL Alaska from the perspective of boat people! We are thrilled... so the boat is a 18.5 foot Alaskan Woolridge semi-V hull with center console driving, a 90 HP Jet motor (it also came with 15 HP and 6 HP kickers!), a ton of toys on it and a nice trailer thank goodness. The Kia pulled it from Eagle River in 0 degrees weather, but we may need a truck in the future. Aaron is GEEKED- he has cleaned it out, inventoried it, pulled up the floors to inspect the hull, planning on insulating it, rewiring EVERYTHING and of course, adding a few bells and whistles (fuel guage, marine radio/CD player, fish finder) and I am recarpeting it as soon as we can put new flooring in it. So, a project for the middle of the winter for the both of us. How fun! Start planning your trip to Alaska to have fun on the boat!
