Hi everyone- sorry for the brief hiatus. Its been a bit busy around here but this weekend was our annual Intern retreat- 10 uf us interns and our significant others (yes, Aaron came) headed out to Cooper Landing late on Friday night for a weekend of bonding, and we hada great time- certainly the best weather that we have had here in Alaska since we got here! I got sunburned from the sun even in 5o-degree temps! Sooooo nice... the pics don't do the weather justice- this is the last weekend of fall and the leaves were perfect. Compliments of the hospital we were able to rent a 5-bedroom house next to the Kenai River for three days and had a ton of great food to share. We did some hiking, fishing, cooking, chatting over the campfire, a LOOONNNGG sauna session with all of the girls and then a nice lazy drive back to Anchorage tonight. Whew... what a great weekend in Alaska- as you can see the snowfall in the mountains is creeping lower and lower by the day!
