Winter keeps going and going and going...

So winters in Alaska stink. It is now the day AFTER the first official day of spring, and while our relatives in the lower 48 are out raking leaves and riding motorcycles in light jackets, we here in Alaska are just freezing. STILL. We got a blowing, drifting, 6-inch snow-accumulating winter storm last night that swooped across the Anchorage bowl, leaving the roads (once again) covered and slippery.

Wedding updates are coming together... this weekend I had off, so I finally THINK I found my dress and am going to buy it this week out in Wasilla. We registered at Bed Bath & Beyond, Target and Home Depot this weekend, and talked through some important details about groomsmen and logistics. Our families have their tickets and more and telling me they are coming to join us every day!

The update on the house hunt is that we are still waiting... our repairs have to be rethought apparently, and our realtor is out of town. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we can find proof of the foundation structure but if not then we might back out. No worse for the wear but perhaps a bit wiser on the home-owning front.

The moose have been out lately, and here are photos of some of them lazing about in the bog next to our house.
